H_O Meeting

Elegant and intentionally rising above ideas of fashion, H_O is a collection of refined furniture of exclusive taste which Claudio Silvestrin designed in response to the need for a prestigious and tastefully luxurious Home Office. H_O meeting is the desk in the collection.

The collection consists of a desk with drawers, available in two different sizes; a pc table; a console table with a thick top; a cupboard; and three tables of different sizes, two circular and one oval, to meet the different needs of social encounters and work. The bookcase, which is modular, is based on a combination of three base elements – drawer, column and shelf – that can be used in different configurations. The table top is a sandwich in poplar plywood with an MDF exterior and metal reinforcements. The surfaces of the tables, desks, cabinet, console table and bookcase are in dove grey or coffee-coloured leather. The supporting columns of the desks and tables are in Valcamonica Porphyry, in chestnut-purple, or in White Porphyry, with white-beige tints.

The wood of the shelves and frames come in ash-tinted oak for the light-coloured leather or stone combinations, or in Louro Preto for the darker versions in the collection. The entire collection is upholstered in Tortorà or Caffè-colours hide. In the ‘Square’ versions, the basic upholstery is finished with a 16×16 cm square ‘tone-on-tone’ design. The central part of the Oval Meeting Table top is pre-prepared with the possibility of opening up 4 containers to hold electrical installations.

H_O Desk Lac

The H_O Lac (varnished) collection includes two desks with a very thick top. The top of the President and Executive desks is made of poplar plywood sandwiched between MDF boards. The one-piece, no joints top is varnished in glossy white NCS 1002-Y or glossy black 9000-N. Upon request, the desks can be supplied with the top varnished in the customer’s choice of colour.

In order to varnish the top with a glossy finish in the chosen colour, customers are requested to provide to Poltrona Frau an international colour code (RAL or NCS) or a colour sample on a physical substrate of at least 50×50 mm to allow proper scanning using suitable devices.

The desk mat is made of MDF board lined with Pelle Frau® leather from the Color System, matching the leather lined metal leg. The desk rests on the floor on feet made of plastic material. On the side opposite the leg, the desks feature a natural finish white travertine or slate column. The drawer unit can be placed on the right or the left of the user, always on the side of the column; the unit’s poplar plywood frame is covered with Louro Preto or Ash-tinted oak veneer. In the standard configuration, the drawer unit has a box drawer and a file drawer. An opening on the top, near the column, allows the passage of cables. H_O Lac desks can be accessorised with a courtesy panel lined with Pelle Frau® leather from the Color System.

H_O Desk

H_O desks have very thick tops and are available in two sizes. The desk top is made of poplar plywood sandwiched between MDF boards, veneered with thick Ash-tinted oak or Louro Preto wood veneer.
The top features longitudinal grout lines, giving the surface a slat-like appearance. The desk mat is made of MDF board lined with saddle leather in dove grey or coffee colour. The metal leg is lined with leather in a colour matching the desk mat and the fronts of the drawer unit.

On the side opposite the leg, the desks feature a Valcamonica porphyry or white porphyry column. The drawer unit can be placed on the right or the left of the user, always on the side of the column; the unit’s poplar plywood frame is veneered with Ash-tinted oak or Louro Preto veneer. The drawer fronts are lined with leather. In the standard configuration, the drawer unit has a box drawer and a file drawer. The side of the drawer unit features longitudinal grout lines, giving the surface a slat-like appearance. An opening on the top, near the column, allows the passage of cables. H_O desks can be accessorised with a courtesy panel lined with matching leather.

H_O desks are only available in a light or dark coloured version. In the light version, the whitish-beige colour of the white porphyry column is matched with dove grey saddle leather and the Ash-tinted oak wood tone. In the dark version, the brown-purple tones of the Valcamonica porphyry column is matched with coffee coloured saddle leather and Louro Preto wood tones.
The saddle leather, in both colours, is offered in two surface versions: plain or square pattern, featuring a tone-on-tone motif of 16×16 cm squares obtained through an artisan process.

H_O Cabinet

Downtown Conference

The Downtown collection is now even more complete and versatile. Jean-Marie Massaud has designed three new conference armchairs to go with the President, Executive, Managerial, Meeting and Visitor models. There are more upholstery options and all the armchairs in the collection can now be covered with the customer’s own fabrics, as well as with Pelle Frau® leather from the Color System.

Downtown

Proficient, elegant, timeless… DownTown is the armchair (ideal for working) specially dedicated to demanding decision-makers whose their choice depends on comfort and a refined elegance. A technical seat that look like a silhouette; handcrafted by Poltrona Frau assuring the highest quality. More than a sculpture, DownTown is a sensual and characteristic creation by Jean-Marie Massed.

Downtown is available in 5 versions: President, Executive, Managerial, Meeting and Visitor. The upholstery, embellished with tone-on-tone or contrast stitching, is made with Pelle Frau® leather from the Color System, and is also available in a version with micro-perforations on the inner surface of the backrest, armrests and cushion.

In the President, Executive, Managerial and Meeting versions, the five-spoke resting base, available in either polished aluminium or with a black finish, is fitted with soft, self-blocking “W” type wheels that adapt to all types of flooring. The Visitor version has a 4-spoke base with swivel plastic glides that are, on request, also available for the other versions.

The President, Executive and Managerial versions are height adjustable and rotate by pulling the lever beneath the seat on the right. The “Syncron” turning mechanism for the seat and backrest allows the armchair to easily accompany the body’s movements, thereby guaranteeing extraordinary comfort. The armchair’s mechanism allows it to be locked into 4 different positions. A thrust-bearing mechanism allows Downtown Meeting to rotate around its axis.

Downtown Visitor is fitted with an automatic return rotation mechanism provided by a resistant bearing, which allows the armchair to rotate and return to its original position.

C.E.O. Cube Meeting

The C.E.O. Cube Meeting Table is available with a rectangular or oval top, all with cylindrical, lightly padded and leather-upholstered metal legs. The support frame is made of black painted iron. The top is created from 2 panels with rounded edges, placed one on top of the other: the lower panel is painted in a black textured finish, whilst the upper panel is foam-padded and upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather from the Color System. The C.E.O. Cube Meeting Tables are available in 4 different versions: the standard version with simple leather-upholstered top, and 3 Hardware versions set up differently to allow for cables to pass.

The Hardware version with central leather panels is equipped with a sheet metal cable passageway that is pierced and finished in black. Above the cableway, there is a raw of central panels upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather from the Color System.

The version Hardware with central leather panels and cableway is set up in the same way as the previous version. Each central panel is equipped with a metal cableway cap available chrome plated or in a black finish.

The version Hardware with leather doors is equipped in the same way as the other HW versions, although the central part of the top is enriched, above the cableway, with a series of sheet metal doors upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather from the Color System. These doors grant access to an internal panel fitted with metal cableway cap available either chrome-plated or in a black finish.

The “President area” can be, as required, in one of the two short sides of the rectangular Meeting Tables. The Pelle Frau® leather SC upholstery of the “president area” can be in a different colour from the upholstery of the table.

C.E.O. Cube Desk

The CEO Cube desk combines pure shape, a blend of materials, a solid, technically-advanced structure, the soul of Poltrona Frau. Micro-architecture rather than simple furnishing, able to divide and populate the space of the most qualified workplaces. The CEO Cube series comprises meeting tables, managerial desks, storage units and an open bookcase. The clear-cut geometric design blends with the materials, from the noble Frau leather, to the wood and aluminium alloys.

The Desk structure is asymmetric with a tubular support frame and sheet metal crossbars, specifically designed to accommodate cables and wiring. The top and leg are created with a rounded-edge double panelling, externally upholstered in Pelle Frau ® leather from the Color System or veneered in a Canaletto walnut finish.
Both versions have a leather central panel. The panels beneath the top are created from wood fibre in a textured black finish.
The cube that supports one side of the desk is fitted with a special system allowing it to rotate. It is designed with two storage drawers and a filing drawer with lock. Externally, there is an open compartment divided by a polished aluminium grid of shelves. The cube is also upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather from the Color System.
The Easy Desk has an upturned ‘C’ structure and can be enhanced by the addition of a wheeled drawer unit. All CEO Cube desks can also be fitted with optional extras such as the aluminium modesty panel fully upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather.

Volare

With Volare, Roberto Lazzeroni outlines a light and airy vision of the classic four-poster bed. His design is for a large structured bed, luxurious in terms of its workmanship and natural materials, yet at the same time discrete and sparing.

It is a warm and welcoming bed, an oasis of comfort and relaxation, perfect for the middle of the room and for big spaces.
The triangular profile solid ash wood fourposter structure gradually thins and lights towards the top. The nocturnal and elegant moka finish on the ash combines perfectly with the natural, vibrant tones of the leather that cover the other elements.

The footboard and bed frame boards are in tulipwood, entirely upholstered in Cuoio Saddle Extra or Pelle Frau® leather, as is the beech and birch plywood headboard. Two soft and sumptuous pillows, padded in polyester wadding, are attached to the headboard with two belts made from Pelle Frau® or Saddle Extra leather. The upholstery is in Pelle Frau® leather or fabric, always refined with a trim around the edge.

Suzie Wong

Inspiration for the Suzie Wong bed comes from romantic comedy films in the fifties and, even further back, sumptuous alcoves from the 1700s. Roberto Lazzeroni gives us a light, feminine, almost twee version. The reference model is the classic boat bed, streamlined in a very modern makeover. It stands clear of the floor, lightly balanced on stiletto-heel tapered feet, covered in leather with brass caps. Even more sophisticated is the version with the headboard wrapped in quilted leather, embroidered with refined geometric stitching, a subtle reminder of the details typical of tailored and leather goods. The headboard frame is in solid beech wood e birch plywood, padded with polyurethane foam. The two shaped sides are in moulded polyurethane foam. Side panels in tulipier wood, with light polyurethane foam padding. Footboard in poplar multilayer the two corners in moulded polyurethane foam. Suzie Wong is upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather.

The Suzie Wong Extra bed sees the addition of new elements to be mixed and matched to suit personal taste and discovers a whole series of expressive solutions.

Elegant visual dynamics grace the leather-clad headboard, decorated with two large, simple horizontal bar-shaped buttons, as an alternative to the headboards already in the collection. The more luxurious version is wrapped in leather quilting embroidered with refined geometric stitching, while another version has a smooth central part and simple border piping.

Alongside the tapered feet, covered in leather, there is also a variant in moka- or wenge-stained solid ash. The footboard also comes in two versions, high or low to match the height of the bed frame boards and form a continual surface.

Suzie Wong is upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather from the Color System or Nest. The headboard frame is in solid beech wood e birch plywood, padded with polyurethane foam. The two shaped sides are in moulded polyurethane foam. The side panels are in tulipier wood, with light polyurethane foam padding, while the footboard is in poplar multilayer the two corners in moulded polyurethane foam. The back of the headboard can be entirely covered in leather or Poltrona Frau jacquard cloth.

Mamy Blue Bed

Designed by Roberto Lazzeroni, who reconciles its large forms with a soft and rounded design, Mamy Blue is half-bed, half-sculpture, expertly shaped and processed by the Poltrona Frau craftsmen. A bed designed to take centre stage in the room where its headboard stands out, inspired, in terms of the curved lines that envelop the sleeping surface, by the Lazzeroni armchair from which it takes its name.

The wenge-stained ash feet are balanced against the bulkiness of the bed, lifting it from the floor and softening its visual impact. The centre headboard is made from solid beechwood and poplar and birch plywood.

The sides are in moulded polyurethane foam. The structure combines the fir blockboard and MDF bed frame boards with a poplar plywood footboard. The upholstery is in Cuoio Saddle Extra leather combined with the Pelle Frau® leather for the headboard internal part. The combination of diff erent materials is exalted by the impeccable visible contrast stitching.

Grantorino Coupe Bed

Jean-Marie Massaud has designed a more compact and minimalist version of the GranTorino Bed. The key compositional element of the GranTorino Coupé Bed is the smaller headboard, which creates an elegant sense of continuity with the bed frame. Delicate ‘x’-quilting, carried out by hand with contrasting thread, decorates the quilt padding of the headboard.

Birch plywood is used for the structure of the headboard while the soft padding of the quilt is in polyester wadding. Sides in spruce blockboard and footboard in poplar plywood with light polyurethane foam padding.

It can be upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather or in two different materials, so you can team saddle leather with leather or fabric, or team leather with fabric: Cuoio Saddle Extra leather or Pelle Frau® leather for the rear of the headboard and bedframe and Pelle Frau® leather or removable fabric for the front quilting. The cylindrical aluminium feet can be covered in Pelle Frau® leather or painted black.

The Gran Torino Coupé Bed, sophisticated, compact and with refined manufacture and materials now comes in a new version complete with storage. Designed to be easy to use and practical, the opening system offers two different ways into the storage area. As well as the usual vertical lifting of the bed base, it can also be raised horizontally, for easier bed making. Both mechanisms have a safety lock.
The base for the storage area is in MDF (medium density fibreboard) panels.

Delicate X-shaped hand-stitching in contrasting-colour thread is used for the padding and the quilting on the headboard. Headboard and bedframe are covered entirely in Pelle Frau® Nest Leather or from the Color System. Other combinations include the headboard and bed frame in Pelle Frau® Nest leather or from the Color System and the padded areas upholstered in the same leather or fabric. The back of the headboard can be upholstered in the same materials as the frame or in Poltrona Frau Jacquard fabric.
The headboard structure is in birch plywood, while the soft padding of the quilting is in polyester wadding. Sides and footboard are in multilayer poplar, slightly padded with polyurethane foam. Its cylindrical metal feet are painted black.
